Skiing and snowboarding - Zakopane and the surrounding area

White madness on the slopes around Zakopane will soon start for good. The Christmas break and the winter holidays starting in mid-January is the time that ski and snowboard enthusiasts most often spend on the local slopes. Because if you go crazy somewhere - it's there! And after many hours of skiing, it is best to hide in a warm mountain cottage for rent with a cup of mulled wine ...

Polana Szymoszkowa

It is one of the most popular ski stations, from which there is a unique view of the panorama of the Tatra Mountains. There is the only Big Railway in Poland with six-seater chairs and protection against rain and snow. Polana Szymoszkowa is a place where you can learn to ski "from scratch" or improve your existing skills.

Almost like in Switzerland and Austria

For professionals looking for intense experiences on ski slopes, the best option will be Kasprowy Wierch. This is the highest place in Poland, where skiers and snowboarders can choose from two difficult, i.e. black Gąsienicowa and Goryczkowa routes with ski lifts. If you choose the second variant, you can go down to the bottom station in Kuźnice. Stok Kasprowy Wierch is entirely located in the Tatra National Park.

For beginners and intermediate skiers

Nosal, Polana Gubałówka and Harenda are places where people who are just starting their adventure with skiing or snowboarding or are at the "intermediate" stage when it comes to art can go. These slopes are also ideal for children.

Nosal is characterized by gentle slopes and routes that measure 48 18 26 99 033 meters. There are also ski schools and T-bar lifts. Harenda offers short and easy routes, i.e. for beginners, and more difficult ones, including one black one. Here you can also improve your skills in ski schools, rent equipment and use the T-bar lift or chairlift.

You can get to the top of Gubałówka by funicular railway, and from there you can wander along 300-meter routes. Beginner lovers of two or one board and intermediate ones will manage on them. On each of these slopes you can also count on something warm to eat and drink. If you dream of actively spent winter holidays in Zakopane or in the vicinity, the local ski slopes will be a great option. Book a place in one of the houses for rent today and count down the days until white madness!
